Responsibilities

- Be an ambassador for WE
- Provide personalized service to VIP guests in a safe and luxurious setting when facilitating our Adult and Family groups.
- Ensure the health and safety of 12 ? 30+ youth participants including the delivering of first aid when needed
- Facilitate meaningful educational leadership programming.
- Ensure that trip itineraries run smoothly, requiring one to be logistic and coordination minded.
- Work closely with educators and adults on trips to ensure that their expectations are met.
- Day to day maintenance of group dynamics.
- Work closely with in country management to communicate daily updates.
- Maintain and complete required reporting needed to be done on a daily basis and at the conclusion of each trip.
- Complete expense reports and hand into accounting team at the end of each trip.
- Work closely with the Ecuador Trip Manager and the Amazon Lodge & Program Manager to develop leadership and social issues modules specific to Ecuador.
- Potentially deliver in-school workshops on leadership skills and social issues to schools in Ecuador.

Requirements

- English & Spanish fluency
- 2 years? experience working in any of these areas with youth, education, tourism or guiding
- Passion and Initiative for personal growth in various skillsets.
- Strong experience working with youth in some capacity (group leading, teaching)
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Flexibility in working long hours, weekends and holidays
- Ability to contextualize trips though a development perspective. WE trips are not just an opportunity to travel abroad but to better understand the world. Facilitators should feel comfortable and confident in speaking to topics that will better allow youth to understand some of the challenges that exist and Ecuador and why.
- Ability to work professionally with adults and organizational stakeholders
- First Aid and CPR training an asset but not required
- Willing and eager to work closely with a facilitation partner for 1-2.5 weeks at a time
- Ability to adapt to new responsibilities as protocol and role evolves
- Act as a positive role model for youth around the clock through your words and actions.
- Certified guide in Ecuador an asset but not required
- Jungle guide experience an asset but not required
- Driver?s license an asset, but not required

The position can be based from anywhere in Ecuador, but will require constant travel to Quito, Napo and Chimborazo.

Our typical trips are around 5 days ? 15 days, with our high seasons being around the months of March, June, July, and August 2020. However, we receive groups throughout the entire year.
