Location: Hope Christian Academy (HCA)

Reports To: Vice Principal

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Mission
To design, standardize, and supervise the execution of HCA's English curriculum from Early Childhood through High School. The specialist will ensure a rigorous pedagogical pathway based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to guide graduates toward achieving a C1 proficiency level, while seamlessly integrating a biblical worldview throughout the program.

Primary Objective
Ensure an effective curriculum that enables students to attain the target language proficiency levels required for our exit profile upon graduation.

Key Responsibilities & Core Tasks
1. Curriculum Design & Alignment (Target: C1 Level)
Learning Pathway: Design the learning progression from Early Childhood to High School, establishing benchmarks per sublevel to guarantee graduates achieve a C1 level.

Resource Selection: Evaluate and select textbooks, digital platforms, and educational resources aligned with the academy?s vision.

International Exam Alignment: Structure curriculum modules per grade level to serve as direct preparation for international certifications:

Elementary (2nd?4th EGB): Content focused on Pre A1 Starters and A1 Movers.

Middle School (5th?7th EGB): Content targeted toward A2 Flyers.

Junior High (8th?10th EGB): Content aligned with A2 Key (KET) and B1 Preliminary (PET).

High School (1st?2nd BGU): Advanced content preparing students for B2 First (FCE).

Senior High School (3rd BGU): Specialized preparation for C1 certification.

2. Institutional Identity Integration
Content Fusion: Integrate reading programs, debates, projects, and biblical worldview reflections into the bilingual curriculum.

Advanced Communicative Approach: Foster an active language production model, guaranteeing high language exposure standards both inside and outside the classroom (up to 100% immersive English usage depending on the level).

3. Teacher Mentorship & Professional Development
Pedagogical Coaching: Develop and implement a continuous training plan for teachers, focusing on English as a Second Language (ESL) methodologies.

Classroom Standardization: Design and execute a structured classroom observation program with regular feedback loops to ensure weekly lesson plans are effectively delivered.

Skill Development Supervision: Oversee weekly planning so that each day prioritizes a specific language skill (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking) formatted after international exam standards.

4. Assessment & Quality Assurance
Exit Profile Indicators: Create exit profiles for each grade and proficiency level, complete with rubrics, assessments, and checklists to measure learning success.

Quality Audits: Plan, coordinate, and analyze mock international certification exams at the end of each term/semester. Use data-driven results to refine weekly planning and address identified skill gaps.

Key Requirements
Proven experience in English curriculum design and alignment with CEFR standards.

In-depth knowledge of Cambridge English Qualifications (Starters through C1 Advanced).

Demonstrated experience in teacher training, classroom observations, and pedagogical coaching.

Strong alignment with faith-based education and biblical integration in academic settings.

Exceptional native or near-native English communication skills (written and spoken).
