We are looking for an Operations and Customer Service Assistant with at least one year of experience in similar roles within the tourism industry. The ideal candidate should have a solid mix of operational skills and a strong focus on customer service, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to quality and excellence in all operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with reservations and coordinating various tourism services (hotels, transportation, flights, etc.), ensuring itineraries are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Customer service: Engage with potential and existing clients via email, text, and phone calls, providing detailed information about tours and services.
- Assisting with service reconfirmations, managing last-minute changes and ensuring the smooth execution of services.
- Recording and organizing payments for the accounting department, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are proactively and personally addressed.
- Constant follow-up on assigned tasks, checklists, and communications to ensure a seamless experience for clients.
- Managing any changes or modifications in services and keeping clients informed of relevant updates.
- Impeccable written communication: Drafting emails, messages, and other written communications with clarity and professionalism.
- Collaborating with the team to enhance the customer experience and optimize services offered.
- Proactivity: Anticipating client needs and offering personalized, creative travel solutions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in tourism, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in similar roles within the tourism industry.
- Advanced level of English, both spoken and written (knowledge of Spanish is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Passion for travel, especially for South American destinations, is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to take on a variety of tasks based on team needs.
- A strong command of both written and spoken English is essential to carry out the responsibilities of the position
